OBEDIENCE is Your Biggest Preparation For a Turnaround | John 2:7 | My Jesus Today – Lesson 25 | David Adeniji

The reason for disobedience is lack of trust. If I instruct you and you don’t follow it, it means you doubt the authenticity of my promises.

Today, we see that there’s a strong link between preparation and obedience. You only prepare for what you believe. You only believe when you trust the facilitator of the promise. The first step to prove your trust is to obey the first instruction.

Whatever he tells you to do, do it. That’s a blanket statement of faith. Even though it seems to talk about obedience only. Obedience is the mother of all virtues. “Whatever” ! Now, that’s deep. Mary told the servants to obey whatever Jesus tells them. Meaning, even it sounds foolish. The lesson is that, trust the instruction giver. He has your life in his hands. So, he knows the outcome of every instruction before he gives it. He cannot lead you into a loss. Even if the instruction looks as such.

I salute these servants. You may say, afterall, they were servants. But Jesus was equally an invitee in the wedding and not their owner. Nobody yet knew Him as the Messiah, saviour, or miracle worker. He wasn’t yet a celebrity. He was seemingly, unknown. So, believing and obeying whatever Jesus tells them, was obedience out of blind faith. You see, God doesn’t lead those who argue. If you’re fond of arguing with men, it’s an indication you will argue with God, because you’re already training your heart to be rebellious, and overly critical and analytical.

Many people go the wrong direction, because God will not even bother to lead them in the right direction, because he knows they’ll probably not listen. Don’t be like that. Start by obeying men in submission. Then, study the scriptures. He begins to speak faintly in your heart, trust that inner still voice. Obey him. Then follow the peace He whispers (Col 3:15).

I mean, When it’s God, then there’ll be peace in your heart….but that’s if your heart is not filled with junks or hatred or bias, or complex or ego. If your heart is filled with love and worship and the word, then the Holy spirit can dwell there, and when you don’t feel peace on a matter, you can be sure its not God. That’s what Obedience brings. It brings quality direction and it’s your biggest preparation for the turnaround you desire

LESSON 24 | PREPARATION – Your Prophetic Rehearsal Into A New Level | Exodus 13:2 | My Jesus Today – Lesson 24 | David Adeniji

In everything we do in life, were either preparing for something, or performing it. Preparation is your prophetic rehearsal into whatever next level you anticipate.

Yes, you need to pray, you need to believe. But note that God is the one who answers prayers. And you’re only believing what God has already made available. But God will not prepare for you. It’s all up to you. You will have to do that preparation yourself. You will have to move and start working. You will have to give evidence and substance to your faith. You will have to start talking , start connecting, start searching.

But here’s why I call it a prophetic rehearsal. As you prepare, you are also proclaiming with your mouth, God’s word concerning that situation. And that’s the difference between this preparation I’m teaching here and the one you get from motivation. You’re preparing, you’re also proclaiming God’s word as you do so. Andrew Womack would always say that faith is ‘voice activated’

See Exodus 13:2. The Israelites had just left Egypt, in a forceful way. God forced Pharaoh to let them go. But their journey had just begun. They weren’t into the promised Land yet. So, they had to prepare for that. Now, God told them what to do, but they had to do it. He won’t do it for them. Basically, they were to do about 3 things . The first was something like a fast for seven days, the second what instructive. Verse 8 and verse 14, they had to keep rehearsing in the ears of their children, how God brought them out of Egypt.

They whole essence of preparation is to synch your new reality into your mind, so every organ in your body cooperates. Tell yourself in the affirmative that no sickness can stay in your body, even while you feel terribly sick. And then brace up and cheer up, stop looking for sympathy.

Rise up, begin to prepare the necessary documentations for whatever you’re working on. Move with speed, not minding the obstacles. Shop for cars when you have no money to buy one. Inspect properties, the moment you have believed for them. Start preparing for convocation right from matriculation day. Decide from today to get serious with your spiritual life, because that’s the foundation of all preparations. Your preparation is your prophetic rehearsal into your next level! Hallelujah! Amen.

STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT DELAY, JUST PREPARE FOR YOUR MIRACLE | John 2:5,7 | My Jesus Today – Lesson 23 | David Adeniji

The precious time you spend complaining, should be spent preparing. The moments you spend worrying should be spent praising. The energy you spend lamenting should be channeled into getting acquainted with your expected miracle.

When the Israelites we’re to move from Egypt into the promised Land, God instructed them to spend days, preparing. In Exodus 12:35-36, as instructed, they even requested gifts from their Egyptian neighbours, and they found favour. The Egyptians gave them all they requested. That’s preparation! Later God told them to eat the Passover and In Exodus 12:24, He even told them to make the passover an annual event in their generations to come. Your preparation is a prophetic rehearsal of your liberation…of your promotion into whatever you’re believing God for !

In Exodus 13:3, God told them, “Remember this day in which you came out of Egypt”, even while they were still in Egypt, preparing to leave. wao! Preparation is prophecy. It’s a catalyst for faith! God made sure their hearts were already in The promised Land, even though their bodies we’re only about to cross.

They were already seeing the promised Land, even before they crossed. Now that’s what preparation does. It lifts up your spirits into your expected destination, and actually, that’s how your faith receives what God has already done. What you don’t see, you don’t get. But you don’t see by simply praying and waiting, you go ahead and swing your mind and body into the atmosphere you anticipate. Never even hang around anyone who suggests to you contrary to your expectations. Lord I’m ready for my miracle, in Jesus Name. Amen.

PREPARE, So You Don’t Lose Opportunities ! | John 2:5 | My Jesus Today – Lesson 22 | David Adeniji

Your preparation is the catalyst for your faith. It increases the speed of the hands of your clock of destiny. Does it surprise you that despite Jesus’ seeming decline of Mary’s proposal, inviting him into a supernatural that wasn’t yet time, yet Mary, rather than argue with Him or give up, simply approached the servants nearby and instructed them to obey whatever Jesus would soon request.

Mary saw the miracle coming. Hallelujah! She knew her son! I know my father! He will always come through for me. Even if I have prayed and didn’t hear any thing, or see any vision, or feel any goose pimples, I know whom I believed (2 Tim 1:12). Those who know their God shall be strong and do exploits (Dan 11:32)

Please stop arguing when God says wait. Stop complaining when it appears it’s not yet time. The message is that you should go and prepare because when the due time arrives, it won’t wait. If you aren’t prepared, you lose the opportunity. They say, when opportunity meets preparation, then success is inevitable. Many people want it the other way round. They want to start preparing when it is certain they will get the miracle. That’s equal to unbelief. And unbelief is sin – Tom 14:23b

You need to repent of all the wasted opportunities in your life simply because you never prepared for them. Honestly you need to. God is not a waster, and what I’m saying here is spiritual. The moment you engage in preparing for a miracle that’s yet to arrive, you’re rehearsing the words of Heb 11:1. That, faith is the substance of things hoped for, the EVIDENCE of things not seen.

Evidence is tangible. Your preparation gives evidence to your faith. Come-on please, get down to preparation. I have a word of assurance you. Your miracle is on the way. Stop worrying about whether it will come. That’s not your business, that’s God’s business. Your own business is to prepare for it. Just like Mary did, by instructing the servants to be alert, ready for the master’s instruction. I receive this, Lord, in Jesus Name. Amen.

PREPARE | John 2:5 | My Jesus Today – Lesson 21 | David Adeniji

What to do when it’s ‘not yet time’ for your miracle, is to continue preparing, consistently, for when it will be time. Don’t go to sleep please! Your miracle happens only when your preparation matches your expectations, your faith. It is hypocrisy to believe for something and not prepare for it. That faith is void of evidence and substance. That faith is void of works. Bible says such faith is dead, like a body without spirit (James 2:26), wow!

In John 2:4, Jesus was telling Mary in essence – “What’s my concern with wine? I know you’re trying to make me perform a miracle. But I want you to know that it’s not yet time for me to manifest. It’s not time for the launch of my global miracle ministry”.

We have spent the last two classes talking about “When it’s not yet time”. We established that even though faith says “NOW!”, yet, there’s need for patience (Heb 10:36), when God says, you know what, it’s just not yet time for that which you’re asking me.

But then, John 2 verse 5 immediately births for us a new revelation. Jesus’ response in John 2:4 suggests that He won’t get involved in the wine matter. Afterall, his time hasn’t come. That scripture also suggests that Mary got the message he was trying to pass accross since she spoke to him no further about the matter. But verses 5 and 7 seem to prove both assumptions rather wrong. Then boom! A revelation struck.

If you have prayed for something and you haven’t seen it. Your subsequent preparation for it shows whether you actually believed. So, start preparing for that job you’re yet to secure, that grant you’re yet to receive, that baby you’re yet to conceive, that wife or husband you’re yet to even meet, that healing you’re yet to receive, that much awaited expansion that’s yet to arrive. Nigeria should prepare for that more peace that the one presently being threatened. Prepare for that freedom you’re yet to secure. This preparation means – Behave as though you already got it, because in the spirit, you already have it (Eph 1:3), in Jesus Name! Hallelujah
