NO SEED, NO LIFE – Part 2 | 1 Kings 17:17-24 | The Lord Of The Harvest – Lesson 3 | David Adeniji

Avoid sowing casual seeds that cost you nothing. A seed is not philanthropy or CSR Done to boost your image in the society so that brands can patronize you. That’s also good, but seeds are sacrifices, even when the recipients have no way of paying back. Let it be tangible. Get radical with your offerings.

You know, here’s the thing with the seeds you sow genuinely, seeds that cost you something tangible. You can always draw grace from them. You can make demands of it.

Bible says,

“He that goeth forth with weeping, bearing precious seeds, shall doubtless come back carrying his sheaves with him” – PS 126:6

Bible says, God will….Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice….in the day of trouble. – PS 20:1-3. So, if you’re not sowing seeds, you’re cheating yourself.

Yesterday, we saw how the widow of Zarephath won for herself an endless supply of provision, because she sacrificed her last meal as a seed to Elijah. She didn’t only get material provision, she and her son escaped death that would have come from starving. Seeds are life savers.

But that story didn’t end there. You see, when there’s no seed, there’s no life. If you hate sowing, it’s like digging your house from beneath the foundation. One day, and suddenly, the structure will get weak and there be nothing to support it any more. In 1 Kings 17:17-24, that woman’s son fell sick and died. The woman didn’t hesitate to draw continuous virtue from her seed sown. Elijah raised her back to life, by the power of God. So you see, without that seed, the son would be gone forever, and her life will be shattered.

You could simply double your regular Sunday offerings. Or locate someone in your circle and lift them out of poverty, or choose to give full scholarships to certain children. Just sow a seed at your level, and be consistent. When you become an aggressive sower. You raise your quality of Life. Now, don’t wait until you have the money, take it as a project and pray for seed. Such seeds, will wait for you in future, and be your anchor.
